It's Never Too Early for Tiny Pumpkins

Its pretty much autumn up here in Williamsport. The leaves are officially turning, it's in the 40s when I get up in the mornings, and I swear the other day I smelled woodsmoke -- yeah, it's that serious. I'm running the heat right now.

I wanted to talk briefly about my newest obsession: thrifty home decor on a budget. Check out this blog, this lady is awesome --http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com. Tons of great, creative, inspirational ideas for every season. I've started decorating for Halloween already, that's how inspired I was. The whole porch so far has cost less than $20 between Big Lots, the thrift store, and the Dollar Tree. I eventually plan to try to make the inside of my house livable. There's still nothing in the dining room, and the living room is a mess. Need some things to put on the walls. Maybe a nice area rug. Something. I like the kitchen though, pretty happy with that overall.

I'm still thinking that the dining room should have a picnic table in it. A lovingly hand-distressed picnic table, upon which I will display my eclectic tea set and my shot-glass checkers board.

The lack of feng shui is killing me.
